Scott is a human driven executive, with expertise in product management and design, customer driven innovation, and collaborative leadership with a history of turning deep insights into simple, yet impactful products and experiences to delight customers.
Scott most recently served as Chief Product Officer for Deluxe Corporation to transform the company from a 100+ year old check manufacturer to a fintech software provider. Scott led a suite of payments products to help small to mid-market businesses pay and get paid, while managing the company product portfolio and Innovation Center, where Deluxe co-creates with clients and partners. He was also responsible for embedding innovation into everyone’s job, building innovative mindsets and behaviors in in the culture of the company.
Prior to Deluxe, Scott has built and led innovation, product, and design practices in organizations across many industries to create sustainable growth, including Nationwide (serving as the company’s first Chief Innovation Officer), First Data (helping take the company public with a wave of product launches), and Visa. Before Visa, he spent 8 years at Intuit in product management and the innovation lab.
While Scott is a practitioner of product management and innovation, he is also passionate about nurturing others in their growth journeys. He serves as adjunct faculty at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford University (the “d.school”) and the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, engaging students and executives. He also works with companies, schools, organizations, and individuals in the Southeast and beyond nurturing and unleashing innovators of all ages.
He grew up and lives in Atlanta, GA and has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Princeton University.
